Don’t learn too many rules too quickly

I am skimming info about the forces. But they want to teach too many rules too fast. I’m still working on the very first item that I had to question. I cannot just assume the rules are right or that the teachers are telling the truth, or if it’s the whole truth. I have to play with each assumption and battle with it until I go numb with disinterest and there is no life left in the question. Then I might learn another rule without yet being certain of the first rule. I did this in calculus class too, and was months behind the class, but passed my tests.
