“Rags.”

At other jobs where I worked we would have buckets of towels for cleaning things, but sometimes people would tell us, "Don’t call them ‘rags’ because that sounds like what women use for their periods." They would use the phrase "on the rag" for a woman menstruating.

But in Spanish, you can’t escape from it – the word "towel" is the same for regular towels and menstrual pads, "toallas." (It says it on the package.) But if everyone swears in Spanish anyway, they probably don’t care about how towels are also menstrual pads. I just thought it was amusing because of my memories of the managers begging us not to call the towels "rags."
